Crocker Hornsby 1984-1995: Prior to co-founding the crocker.company, Ms. Crocker was an appraiser/analyst with Crocker Hornsby, a commercial real property valuation firm in Santa Rosa. Appraisal assignments included the valuation of fee simple, leased fee and leasehold interests, easements- including conservation easements- right of way acquisitions, highest and best use studies, feasibility studies, market and marketability studies.

EDUCATION
Ms. Crocker received a Juris Doctor degree from Empire College of Law in 1981 and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota in 1972 where she majored in Romance Languages. She trained with the Peace Corps in Latin America.Ms. Crocker has completed numerous courses and seminars with professional appraisal organizations including the Appraisal Institute (formerly the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers) and the International Right of Way Association. Courses include Basic Valuation Procedures, Capitalization Theory and Techniques, Market and Marketability Analysis, Real Estate Appraisal Principles and Standards of Professional Practice.
Seminars include Appraising More than Land and Buildings, Business Valuation, The Challenge of Measuring Economic Obsolescence, Conservation/Preservation Easements, Depreciation Analysis, Easement Valuation, Federal Income Tax and Real Estate, Federal Rules and Regulations, Highest and Best Use, R-41b, R-41c and the Appraiser, Real Estate Risk Analysis, Subdivision Analysis, Uniform Standards of Professional Practice, and Vineyard Valuation.
During 1996 Ms. Crocker completed over 100 classroom hours of continuing education in appraisal, conflict resolution and information sciences.

Appraisal Institute: Ms. Crocker is an Associate Member of the Appraisal Institue. She has participated in professional organizations for many years and served as an officer and member of the Board of Directors of the former East Bay Chapter of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. She was the creator and original editor of the Focus magazine and was appointed to the National Committee for the Appraisal Briefs.Certification: Ms. Crocker has been a licensed Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of California since 1992 and has completed the continuing education requirements of the Office of Real Estate Appraisers.

Mr. Crocker has nearly a quarter century of experience in the valuation and appraisal review of real property of all types, including the following:

Crocker Hornsby 1982-1995: Mr. Crocker was a co-founder and principal of Crocker Hornsby, a commercial real property valuation firm in Santa Rosa, California. Appraisal assignments included the valuation of fee simple, leased fee and leasehold interests, ground leases and easements and partial takings for right of way acquisitions. All types of properties were appraised, as outlined above. Mr. Crocker was responsible for training and review of two commercial and two residential staff appraisers.
Crocker Appraisals 1978-1982: Mr. Crocker was founder and principal of Crocker Appraisals, a real property valuation firm in Santa Rosa, California. Appraisal assignments included single and multi-family residential units, commercial and industrial buildings, special use properties and vacant land.
Imperial Savings and Loan 1975-1978: Mr. Crocker began as staff appraiser at Imperial and advanced to Sr. Appraiser prior to leaving to establish Crocker Appraisals. While at Imperial, he was responsible for the training and review of three staff appraisers.
Krueger Appraisals 1972-1974: Mr. Crocker began his appraisal career in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he was a staff appraiser involved primarily in residential properties and mass appraisals for ad valorem tax purposes. He was also a licensed real estate salesperson in Minnesota.

EDUCATION
Mr. Crocker attended the University of Minnesota (1961-1966) in Minneapolis where he majored in Psychology. He subsequently completed the required appraisal curriculum through the Appraisal Institute (formerly the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers) and was awarded the MAI designation in 1987.Mr. Crocker has continued his education in real estate sales, appraisal, ethics and information sciences for the past twenty-five years, including over one hundred hours of classroom credits completed in 1996. Mr. Crocker is currently certified under the continuing education program for designated members of the Appraisal Institute.

Mr. Crocker was an instructor of "The Principles of Real Estate Appraisal" at the Santa Rosa Junior College from 1978-1982. He has trained and reviewed the work of seven commercial and residential staff appraisers during his career.![]()
